Colonel Sanders life story.

Colonel Sanders was the eldest of three siblings. He was just 5 years old when his father died untimely. After getting up from the head of the father, a series of difficulties started in his life. His mother joined a tomato-canning factory to feed the children. In such a situation, the responsibility of taking care of younger siblings and taking care of the house fell on Sanders' small shoulders. As a result of helping his mother in cooking, by the age of seven, he became proficient in making many regional dishes.

A few years later, her mother got married again and moved to her husband's house, Greenwood, Indiana, with children. Sanders' stepfather often beat him and his younger siblings.

The struggle of Colonel Sanders.

One day, fed up with the atrocities of his father, Sanders ran away from home and started working in a field to live. At that time, he was 11 years old. For a few years, they kept banging homeless here and there. But even after all the troubles, he did not lose his courage. He worked tirelessly in the hope of grooming his future. At the age of 15, he became a bus conductor and at the age of 16, he joined the United States Army and went to Cuba.

After completing his tenure in the United States Army, he continued to work as a blacksmith's assistant for some time. He then got a fireman job at the Illinois Central Railroad. When he got a job, he married Josephine King. For a few years thereafter, he lived a happy life with his wife and three children. However, one day he got into a fight with a colleague at the workplace and lost his job. At the time of this examination, his wife also left him.

Along with a job in Railways, he is also doing a correspondence course of law, which came to him after leaving the job. He started law practice. But still he did not get stability. By the time he reached the age of 40, he wandered from one place to another, changing job after job and trying his hand in many occupations. He sold life insurance, worked as a salesman, sold tires and acetylene lamps, carried a steam-boat ride in the Ohio River. But he could not succeed in any work.

Failure to success - Colonel Sanders

Despite consecutive failures, Sanders did not stop trying. At the age of 40, he moved to Karbin, Kentucky and opened a service station. The revenue received from the service station was not enough. So for the purpose of increasing the income, he put a table and some chairs in the room behind the service station and started making pen-fried chicken, hem, steak and other food items to the drivers and passengers.

People liked the taste of their food so much that they started coming there to eat their food. Seeing the increasing number of people, he opened a motel and restaurant on the other side of the road, in which about 142 people could sit and eat together. People especially liked the Pan Fried Chicken in their preparation. Therefore, they continued to work on this recipe so that it becomes unique. Finally, after 9 years of hard work, he completed his Pan Fried Chicken recipe with 11 herbs and spices. This recipe became the USP of his restaurant. Sanders became famous for his Pan Fried Chicken. The Governor of Chicken Kentucky was so much liked that he made Harlene Sanders in 1935 with the title of 'Colonel'.

His restaurant was doing well. One of the major reasons for his restaurant's running was that he was located on the way to Florida, so that travelers passing on that route would look at his restaurant and turn to him. But in the 1950s, an unexpected trouble came to him. A new high-way was built to go to Florida, which did not pass through the Carbin. This severely affected Sanders' business and sank into debt. Seeing no choice, he sold his restaurant. After repaying the loan, he had nothing left of the social security check of $ 105.

Establishment of KFC Foundation.

Colonel Sanders was 65 years old and even after working all over, he had no capital left. He was living his life with the help of social security. The biggest problem before him was what to do for living. He did not have the capital. In such a situation, he came up with an idea why not use only that item which is available with him. And that item was - their Fried Chicken recipe.

He was confident of the taste of his Fried Chicken recipe. Therefore, by naming it Kentucky Fried Chicken, he decided to sell its franchisee. Then did he go on a tour of America and Canada on his car and visit various restaurants and discuss about this. He visited around 600 provinces and contacted thousands of restaurant owners. Many people rejected his proposal and many people made fun of him. But he was not deterred and continued his tour. After being rejected by 1008 restaurant owners, the 1009th restaurant owner finally accepted their offer and signed Fried Chicken's first franchisee. That recipe led to an extraordinary increase in sales of the restaurant, seeing that other restaurant owners also started taking the franchisee from Colonel Sanders and thus the KFC restaurant chain started.

It was the first restaurant chain in the world to expand internationally. By 1964, around 600 KFC outlets opened in the United States and Canada. Its outlets also opened in England, Mexico, Jamaica. In 1964, Sanders sold Kentucky fried chicken corporation to an American company for $ 2 million and remained its paid brand ambassador for a lifetime.
